Natalie Jean is an award winning multi-nominated singer/songwriter performer. She performs and writes for many genres, such as Jazz, Blues, Dance, Pop, R&B, Contemporary, and Rap. She also sings in French, Creole, Spanish, and English. She has released 4 albums thus far. “Obsession”, “Natalie Jean”, Lecons D’Amour, and “Unafraid”.

How long have you been making music?
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
I have released 45 songs. I have released 4 albums.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?
My latest release is titled “Unafraid”. It is based on my past relationships, my journey, realizations, and being able to see the Truth.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
My father, Guy R. Jean is a famous Haitian singer. I also have an aunt, Sandra Jean who started the first all female band in Haiti. It is a family thing. I love music.
What do you think of the music industry in 2016?
I think it’s a lot harder to make it in the music business. There are a lot of scammers. You need to do your due diligence. You need to weed out the bad, and find the good. You need to stand out. A lot of the music seems to sound the same.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
I have collaborated with Trevor Sewell, Dennis Sy, Darick Spears, Michael Peloso, Lynn Yew Evers, Gurkan Asik
How do you think you differ from other artists?
I extremely versatile, because of the fact that I can sing in many languages. Also, I am artist that likes to create in many genres.
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?
Nina Simone would be my dream collaboration

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?
I would keep my French album, “Lecons D’Amour” – I love it.

I am an aerobics instructor and interfaith minister

I have twelve small tattoos
Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?
My new project would be considered in the “World Category” – It is about the sounds of Haiti. My family is from Haiti. I wanted to do something for my culture.
What’s in the pipeline after this project?
I was nominated six times in the 2017 Josie Music Awards, so I will be going to Nashville for that. I am working on setting up a tour with a pianist. Hoping to do a European/Asian Tour.
